Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Elevise AI ("Elevise", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Elevise. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of your use.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• One account per person — do not share accounts.

4. Subscription and billing

• The Foundation plan is free and includes limited features.
• The Higher Tier plan is £8.99 per month, billed monthly via Stripe.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months, but we will consider exceptional circumstances — contact support@elevise.app.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or abusive.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• Scrape, copy, or resell any part of the Service without written permission.
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose other than your own study.

6. Usage limits and access revocation

We operate reasonable limits to ensure fair access for all users. If your usage is significantly outside normal patterns — such as automated scraping, bulk paper generation, or API abuse — we reserve the right to:

• Temporarily throttle your account.
• Suspend or permanently revoke access, with or without notice.
• Cancel your subscription without a refund in cases of clear abuse.

We will always try to contact you first before taking action unless the abuse is severe or ongoing.

7. AI-generated content

Elevise uses AI to generate revision materials. This content is provided for study purposes only. We make no guarantee that AI-generated exam papers, mark schemes, or tutor responses are accurate, complete, or aligned with any specific exam board's current specification. Do not rely solely on Elevise content for your exams.

8. Intellectual property

The Elevise platform, branding, and design are owned by Elevise. Content you create using the Service (flashcard decks, notes) remains yours. You grant us a licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of AI responses, or any particular exam outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to any claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections 7–9 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you by email for material changes.
